Item Description
A set of eight, French crystal, large wine or water glasses. These are made, by Baccarat, from a very heavy, good quality crystal and they date from c.1870. Although they are one of the more standard French forms which were made by many glass works the Baccarat examples are quite distinctive. They have a long, elliptical cut to the bowls and a flying saucer shaped, single knop stem. They are all in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Height 13.7cm. Diameter at the rim 8.2cm. Diameter at the foot 7cm. There are marginal variations in the sizes as they are hand blown.
