Item Description
A good quality, early 20th century bain marie pan. This is marked “VILLEDIEU FRANCE”, to the side of the handle on the pan, and it dates from c.1920. The copper sections are well made, from a heavy gague of copper, and the ceramic section is made from a white ironstone. The pan has brass handles, attached by copper rivets, and there is a small, acorn shaped finial to the lid. It is all in excellent, usable condition. Modern examples of this pan are still available from Mauvielle but the marks and fittings are quite different.
Dimensions: Height of pan 16cm. Diameter of pan 13.5cm. Overall length of pan and handle 25.5cm.
