Item Description
A nineteenth century, Minton curd cheese mould with a wheatsheaf to the base. This is marked ”MINTON” and it also has a black, transfer printed mark which is slightly indistinct. The mould is made from a heavy earthenware and it dates from c.1880. There is a tiny chip on the base, which is probably the result of a kiln stilt being removed during the manufacture. Otherwise it is in very good, usable condition.
