Item Description
A pewter ice cream mould in the shape of a sheep. This is marked, in the casting to both sides, with the initials “L.G”. This is the mark of the French company Letang and the mould dates from c.1880. The modelling, to the interior, is very well detailed and the sheep has beautiful, curly wool. There are a couple of faults to the mould. One of the hinges has been broken and repaired, and there is a short split in the rim. The brass pins, which hold it together, are replacements.
