Item Description

A fairly small, early 19th century, pearlware jug decorated in pink lustre. This is English and it dates from c.1820. The jug is very lightly potted and is decorated, in varying shades of pink lustre, with different styles of house to either side. To the rim is a band of oak leaves and acorns. This style of decoration became known, generically, as the house pattern whether it was painted with houses, castles, churches, mills or any other type of building. The piece is in excellent condition with just very slight wear to the lustre on the rim.
Dimensions: Height 12.3cm. Width 14cm. Diameter 11cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £25. Most of Western Europe add £12.
