Item Description
A small, Wedgwood black basalt jardiniere. This is marked “WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1920. It is also impressed with a number “4” which relates to the diameter in inches. It is decorated, in relief, with four different classical subjects beneath garlands of grapes and vines which hang from lions head masks. The reliefs include The Three Graces and Pegasus. To the rim is a narrow border of flowers. The reliefs are all very good quality and the piece is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Height 9cm. Diameter 10cm.
