Item Description
An early 20th century, steel cleaver with a crowned eagle design to the top of the blade. This is German and it dates from c.1920. It is stamped with the number “9” over “18”. Some of the design on the blade has been applied using number and letter stamps and the piece has a very simple, carved wooden handle which is attached by steel rivets. There is pitting to the steel, from use, but otherwise it is in very good condition.
Dimensions: Length 37cm. Height 15cm. Width of handle 2cm.
