Item Description
A beautiful large vintage French pure linen sheet - a delightful find with such pretty decoration. A satin stitch hem sits below a hand stitched triple monogram embellished with dots and leaves.
It will be fabulous to sleep under or what a beautiful curtain it'll make, billowing at a window. I think I would have to use this as a sheet, the fabric is so smooth, but the choice is yours, maybe both, depending on the season!
No damage or wear, it is in excellent condition and basically unused. The colour is a pale creamy beige-white which will lighten as the sheet continues to be laundered. Freshly laundered and ready for use. No marks to speak of.
If you look closely you can see a pale blue line along the side of the "M" of the monogram. This is the last traces of the blue stencil marking from the original design; it'll go completely in the next couple of washes but is a nice little part of this sheet's story.
