Item Description
A large, and very heavy, French copper roasting or casserole pan. This could be used either on the stove or in a large oven and both the base and lid could be used for cooking as the lid could be used as a large saute pan, due to the folding handles being on the sides rather than on the top. It is made from an exceptionally heavy gauge of copper and the copper has quite a heavily planished finish. It dates from c.1920 and is in excellent condition. The tinning, to the interior, is slightly worn but it could still be used for cooking or it would make a very attractive bread bin or storage container for a kitchen.
